Miriam Mueller is a German native, has a degree in French and English translation and is an accredited interpreter of French. Along with others, she has founded several multilingual associations and owns Die 12 Sterne language school in Berlin. She has been helping people from abroad with issues related to the German authorities for years. She studied in Brussels and London and lived in Montpellier, France. She knows about the challenges people face when moving to a different country and goes out of her way to offer competent assistance to private individuals and companies.
Lisa Wohlgemuth comes from Münster and is fluent in French, English and Spanish. Alongside studying for her degree in Interpreting at the University of Leipzig, Lisa worked for an interpreting and translation firm, where she was able to gain work experience within an international company and as a freelance translator for diverse clients. Since then, she has been living and working in Berlin and has recently begun a distance learning degree in Economics.
Milena Lütz is a Berliner. She has a degree in European Studies, Political Science and Linguistics with focus on the topics of migration and language policy. In 2013 she became a qualified Goethe Institute language instructor for German as a foreign language (DaF) and for German as a second language in 2014 (DaZ). She has made her A-levels in Bonn and has studied and worked in Maastricht and Barcelona, before she came back to Berlin in 2012. Living herself abroad for several years, she knows what it means to learn a new language, to integrate into a new culture and to settle down in a new country. This is why she set it as her aim to accompany newcomers as best as possible and keep motivating them on their way. Milena speaks German, English, Spanish, Catalan and some French.
Helen Neumann is a German native speaker and speaks English and Spanish very well. She studied multilingual communication in Cologne and in Mexico. After her studies she participated in an advanced training programme in art history and helped setting up an international gallery in Cologne for two years. Today she lives in Berlin and works as a freelance translator. She also is in charge of art projects for a well-known Berlin gallery and helps international students and expats to find their way around in Berlin. Familiar with the peculiarities of Berlin and enthusiastic about the characteristics of the city, she knows how to welcome newcomers to the city.
Deborah Schmitz studied Political and Social Sciences in Freiburg, Buenos Aires, New Delhi and Cape Town. Her curiosity for different ways of life led her to Spain, rural Ireland and a Kibbutz in Southern Israel. After her studies, Deborah worked with a social startup before she joined START Relocation in 2015. She supports our international clients with high enthusiasm end enjoys helping them settle into their new life in Berlin.
Julia Kohn joined us in in 2016. She is a trained graphic designer and has a degree in Cultural Sciences. Julia has been working with a bank and as a project and event manager in Berlin before joining our team. Today she is our contact person for questions about our language school. She creates new courses, taught some of our coaching and has a licence to do the oral telc exam. Julia supports our relocation service as well by taking care of the administration and doing the flat hunt from time to time. Having lived abroad several times, Julia is enthusiastic about learning foreign languages and discovering new places in Berlin as well as abroad.
